From the land of the Bluenose....another day of great weather to be taken advantage of and that I did after doing a few domestic chores. Once they were done I hit a local lake that was full of kids. A few were throwing a ball around and of course soon as I turned my head I got whacked. Took it as an accident till, not a few minutes later a lady took it in the face causing her nose to bleed. They just laughed about it with the on duty life guard ignoring the goings on. A few more minutes and the ball was in my area again this time missing me. That was enough as I grabbed it and threw it in the middle of the lake and left for another spot.
Another lake with tamer children turned out to be a good choice as I hit two small gold rings and a few other goodies. Rounded out the day at a school yard and called her quits as the heat was getting to me. End result for the day was 2 gold rings,dinkie,3 keys, kids ring,bridge token (worth 75 cents),medic alert bracelet and 66 coins @$6.52.

Sounds like some times we need to wear a helmet and safety gear on some of these ventures!!!!!! LOL!!!

Really glad you made it home with out any injuries and really sad to hear what happened to that lady!!!

Was detecting one time at a local park and a golfer came up to do some practice swings...I headed south, time to get out of dodge, cause you just don't know what people will do anymore and I wasn't going to get whacked with a golf ball!!!!

Nice finds, man! I would have hurled my detector at those wastrels ! Those creatures would have been their own blood from their noses . Just joking, you did the right thing!
