Default 1640 "Nederlands" Dollar

I need to tell you guys a story that RP told me last weekend. One of his co-workers was on vacation at Wildwood Beach, New Jersey last week and came back a lot richer . He was walking along the wet sand area, with his family, one morning, when he saw something sticking out of the sand. Before the surf came upon it, he snatched it up. It turned out to be a 1640 "Nederlands" dollar. The fricking "thing" could have been found by anyone looking at the ground. There must have been a shipwreck near the area. I wonder what else could wash ashore?

I bet a metal detectorist was not 5 feet from it, but didn't have the luck . Some people just have the best of luck.

I was told that it is in great condition. There is no tarnish on the coin.

Sorry, I couldn't get a picture of it.
