Default 2 Indian Heads and Buffalo Nickel

Later on this evening, I decided to take a trip to the small park in town. Zoyboy and Blitz went on a mission to locate some owner's property marker and to detect his yard. The 2 little boys thought they were going to get one up on me tonight; "NOT BLOODY LIKELY! " Well, while walking through the park, I was analyzing the surrounding area. I know this park "in and out", so, I decided to concentrate on an area that has produced for me already (lots of junk signals ).

After about 20 minutes, I got a signal that sounded promising through my headphones. While listening to the slight variation in the tone, I knew it had to be an Indian Head! The target pinpointed at 4" and out popped a 1905 Indian Head penny! About 35 minutes into my hunt, I got another nice signal. At 3.5", I found an 1897 Indian Head. Lastly, about an hour and a half into my hunt, I got a "jumpy" nickel reading. At 2.5", I plucked a date-less Buffalo nickel.

I now have 37 Indian Heads for the year. I found 12 from this park.

It definitely is not skill, it is a little luck Blitz and I believe that you either infiltrated or are super maxing. Which one is it, Keithie?

Well, well, well, the 2 little boys didn't find anything (Wheaties-hehe )! Thanks, Indy, for the reply. I guess it is both skill and luck on my side. I know my detector "in and out," so, I know what to dig and what not to dig. Also, I have a technique that I use in this park. It has worked very well for me, in the amount of old coins I have found there. Why, Zoyboy, do you always accuse me of infiltrating whenever I find something good? You and Blitz must feel threatened by me. Why don't you invite me to any of your areas? Hahahehe, yeah, I will find all of the coins !

Hint: I go very slow and always overlap my swing. I also listen for the slight change in my threshold. This may indicate a deep coin, or one on edge. I usually focus on a specific area at a time. Hit it at different angles and listen attentively. I found so many old coins in this park this year (12 IHs, 12 Wheaties, 3 Buffalo nickels, 2 V-nickels, 1 1736-1795 A.D. Chinese coin, 1944 Mercury dime, 1853 3-cent silver piece). The key is patience!

Group B will be heading out for another memorable day manana! Where will you and Silver Zeus partake in a "nonproductive" hunt? HeHehehehehehagahgah

37 IHs for the year is pretty darn good in my book, not to mention the rest you have found. WTG!
