Close to home

Hi all,

Health and heat have kept me close to home for a while, but I did get out to swing the front yard once or twice. I have found number 23, 24 and 25 wheatie the front yard has produced this year, still no silver for me. What's the record for most wheaties before silver?

I have posted pics of two of the odder finds between pennies. First is an amusement token dug by Junior. Clown on front and "Skillful Winner" on back. No idea how old.

Second find was mine. A 1937 Mercer Co., PA dog license. Thankfully no dog was attached.

I think i found about 100 wheaties before i found silver ,now i have 24 silver dimes , (2 barbers and 1 seated dime), 10 rosies, 21 mercury's and 4 washinton and 1 barber quarter,

When I bought my very first machine in 1970, I went in front of our old house in the grass between the street and the sidewalk. My very first coin was a Morgan dollar. Since then I have been hooked like a catfish on a fishing line.
