First time out

I got my new whites classic 5 yesterday spent all night reading the directions on it and tonight got to go try it. i went into my front yard and it beeped and I started to dig and my daughter came out and it took about 10 minutes and about 9 inches down we came up with our first penny. She ran in to tell her mom about our find. My son now joined us and said lets go to the play ground. we found

2 quarters
1 dime
4 more pennys
2 bottle caps
thomas the train match box
some old glasses
a S hook
and a mountain dew can.


The best thing that I found today was my kids not arguing but laughing and having fun with their dad!!!!
We got in the car and my kids thanked me for taking them and want to go tomorrow. I think we'll go to the beach. mother hubbard

Its a wonderful thing to get the family together for sure ! I started in the 70's detectin with my parents,just couldent get the brothers and sis interested thou,they were more into the bottle digin and now there all ebay junkies ! needless to say i'm about the only underweight one in the bunch ! Did i mention it's also a great way to exercise !

Thanks for the reply!!! Its always great when I can find something to pull them away from their computers and Halo on X_BOX. I have great kids and love to find things that we all like to do!!! Thats how you get great kids!!!
