Default Friend payed me back!!!

You all may remember from last week that My buddy went to a site that I told him about without me and found a 1921 peace dollar...well yesterday he invited to join him (at my site remember).

Amazingly tough site to hunt...all coins were 6"-7" deep, the soil was dry..tough digging. I was hunting with my XLT and he had a minelab explorer. There wasn't too many times that I felt 100% sure of what I was digging for.

Anyhow... We found 6 mercs, two barber dimes, 7 indian heads, countless wheaties and

A TWO CENT PIECE!!! I found it! My first!

He beat me...I only found....

One two cent piece

One Merc

One Barber Dime

two Indian heads.

I had the wrong digging tool and was really struggling.....

I tell you this...

If we get 2" of rain we'll hunt this like we've never been there before. I guarantee that we'll find as much as we've had already. That dry soil really makes things difficult.

We are keeping our finds together and are going to take pics of our finds, the location etc. after we are complete.

Hey..how do you clean a two cent piece?

The location is the yard of set of buildings built in 1900 that is now an old folks home. Its scheduled for demo soon.
