Default 3 silver saturday....sterling cross and coins

3 short excursions today...each with a silver prize.

First......by the church adjacent to the park....I got the salt damaged quarter.

I came home had some coffee.....and went to the school again...netted $6.48 in clad and a nice 1940 Merc.

Came home again and went and got something for lunch for the Mrs and myself.....and went back to the high school. I had it in mind to work the area behind the football field....the visitor's side.....so on my way there.....I was just pushing the detector in a straight line as I headed to the new destination when "beeep"....hmmm...missed a quarter....but not...it was the sterling cross at 2 inches. I am elated to have found any piece of jewelry that didn't come from a gumball machine. I found 3 of those (aluminum rings) at the park last week.

Happy hunting....I'm gonna go soak my wrist. I think I am getting carpal tunnel.

I did have a good day......and I really wasn't expecting to either. It's always a surprise to me when i find these things....even though I'm looking for them.

I figure there will still be stuff to find if you ever do make it down here.

I'm givin' the school the business......because once it's opened and the school year has begun....I'll leave it alone. There's a schoolhouse turned community center in Garard's Fort that I've always wanted to explore....and another in Davistown. We'll find someplace to go.

Thanks Greg......Still workin' my "quarter killer" overtime. I owe much of my success in piling up silver.....to ignoring penny/dime signals that are shallow. Quarters add up fast...and the deeper coins register as quarters too, so the fact that I don't have a pile of pennies.....is OK by me. I have found 2 more rolls of quarters since wednesday when I cashed in the rolls. Along this "trail of quarter signals"....have come 5 silver coins since monday.

I have to think that if I had dug every penny target....I couldn't be where I'm at, which is 35 pieces of dug silver since July 21st.

The pennies can wait.

Thanks, Greg. I appreciate the compliment.

We'll take that ride sometime and we'll put my intuition to the test. There are yards there just screamin' to be relieved of silver coins.

Whenever you want to do that...I think it's a great idea. It's always harder for somebody from "out of town" to gain permission. Having a local guy always increases the probability of getting permission.

Yea, I think I can gain permission to most of them Except the two story brick house accross from the bank.

I drove through the little "Village of Thompson".....OMG does that place ever have some "ripe looking" old lawns! It's a semi-ghost town. Ca 1900 store fronts that are closed....and Victorian era homes that have not been manicured and re-graded.
