Default 10K Men's ring

Hey, guys, I got out today to the park where I found my Seated dime on Tuesday. It was the 1st time I used my 4 X 6 Blue Max coil and I loved it. The pinpointing is super accurate. My 1st find of the day was a button. It looks to be old. After that, I got a 40-42 VDI reading that pinpointed at 2.5". I was suprised to see this gold ring pop out. It is a 10K men's wedding band. This is my 2nd gold ring that I have found in this park.

To test the depth out on my new coil, I went to an area in the park that fill dirt was deposited. I got a nice 50 VDI reading that pinpointed at 7", and out came a "crusty" Memorial penny . At least I know this coil will "punch" deep.

Glad you had a good day, Keith. That ring's probably an older one...being 10K. Almost all domestic gold jewelry today is 14K unless special ordered. I've found old stuff at shallow depths before....so being shallow doesn't have to equate with being newer.

Very very nice Keith. It looks like you have found a really good site. Just goes to show that Pa., does have a lot to give up to the hobby.
