Default 1877-1881 Commemorative Coin

RP and I got out to one of our "Hotspots" today. I used my Blue Max DD coil again, and it worked wonders for me. I got 11 Wheaties for the day. One of the Wheaties was 5" deep, so the DD will penetrate decently. This coil works so well in the trashy areas, that I did not even hear the "junk" signals. It picks between the trash and only produces the "good" tones.

My last find of the day produced a "Dime" reading that pinpointed at 2.5". It turned out to be an 1877-1881 Rutherford Hayes commemorative coin. Can anyone tell me more about this find? I would greatly appreciate it.

HH!

Rutherford Bichard Hayes was the 19th president of the United States.....and on his watch.....nothing happened. I am a descendent of the do nothing president......and John Brown of Antietam fame.

Those tokens were given as premiums by service stations in the 1960s. I have several, but no RB Hayes... I have James Garfield, William McKinley...and a few others that I can't think of right now.

Hey, guys, I forgot, I also found an Indian Head, too. It is in horrible shape. Looks to have been hit by something.

Oh, I found 12 Wheats, instead of 11 !

I now have 42 Indians!
