Default Almost no silver today....one more merc

The park was crawlin' with folks today, so I worked the next property, where the little league field was. In that pile of clad....which was just enough to buy a standing Liberty Quarter, are 2 wheats.

Today's highlight though, was the 43 merc....at 6 inches in dry hardpack.

Add one to the total Greg. That's one more for the jar.

Once we get some rain....I mean real rain....the silver's halos will fire up and there will be more silver poppin' outta the ground.

I do need some more hunting sites though. Pickin's are gettin' slim.

That dime registered as a penny on the 6000 for some reason. It was a pleasant surprise.

I'm afraid things are dwindling down now, Indy. I already took nearly 10 rolls of clad quarters from that little park in the last month, and am relegated to digging penny/dime signals now.

There's another school nearby I am going to check out. Maybe nobody has hunted it in 15 years like the local high school. That schoolyard ended up coughing up another 3 rolls of clad quarters in just 4 outings there, and 5 pieces of silver if you count the cross.

I've just about brought home all I can from these sites....unless we get some rain...then I might squeek out a few more deep ones.

I did spend a little time going around there. The problem is that they NEVER do anything on that lawn and they never have. There's precious little to be found there. I have permissionto do the church property BEHIND the church and roller rink, and that's where I was yesterday. This merc makes the 10th silver coin I've dug on that lot.
