Default Well....I didn'tget skunked....one 1943 merc

...and 10 clad dimes, 5 clad quarters, 2 nickels, 8 pennies...one of which is a 39 wheatie...

Like you Boobie....I'm hoping for better days ahead. No pics.....not an outstanding performance. Actually...I don't want you to see the 2 scratches I put on the merc ......oh well....at least it wasn't a scarce date.

One more for the jar, Greg.

OH WELL ONE IS A LOT BETTER THAN NONE. I WISH I COULD FIND SILVER PRACTICALLY EVERY TIME OUT. I JUST HOPE TO FIND A WHEATIE AT THE VERY LEAST

I think I have the public areas as cleaned up (silverwise) as I am going to be able to....unless we get some measurable rainfall. It hasn't rained here to amount to anything for over a month. It's like dry panning for gold. The dirt is dry 10 inches down. Once the soil is wet and the halos around the coins fire up....I'll be able to score some of the deeper coins.

I'm going to go hunt a bit tonight, but I'm less optimistic about the odds of finding silver tonight than I have been lately. The merc last night was the proverbial needle in a haystack.

I really have to find some yards to detect that have never been hunted. That'll put some silver in the jar.

I also spent that clad I found on a 58-D quarter...so I ended up with 2 silver coins on the night...kind of.

Gonna go swing 'er a bit.

Well.....no silver tonight....just 3.06 in clad and a couple wheaties. One was really green so I expect it's from the shell casing years....44-46....I put everything in the soap and water soak so I don't know what the other one is.

For my efforts tonight....I was able to afford a 1950 washington quarter and the postage to get it here, so all is not lost....I still got my silver, just in a roundabout way.
