I know I said I wasn't going...
...but then I got to thinking about the next 4 days...and no detecting until next week.....and gave in at 6:30 or thereabouts. Heck, just a quickie...kind of like bears eating before hibernation....
...so I end up in front of the roller rink again, and low and behold I found 3 silver rosies in a 2 foot square area....one after the other. They were all at a depth of about 5 inches. 1 was dated 1958, and the other 2 were both dated 1960-D.
I also got 4 clad dimes, 4 nickels and 5 pennies, of which 4 were wheaties. The dates on the wheat cents are 1936, 41, 45, and 46. The 5th penny was also deep...and a 61 memorial.
It was a blast. There for awhile I had visions of digging nothing but silver roosevelt dimes. Then reality set in....and the dime supply dried up.
That's 7 silver dimes in 2 days. I love this hobby.
