Just gets tougher every time...but one silver rosie today
Man things are getting bleak here. I though it was going to be a better day than it was. I got to the church yard adjacent to the Park, which was very crowded today....and within 15 minutes I found a 64 rosie at just 4 inches. We've all seen 'em....no need for another picture of the mundane. Into the jar with that one.....
I spent the next 3 hours and 45 minutes trying to duplicate the effort. There was no more silver for me to dig today. I ended up with 2 clad quarters, 22 clad dimes, 9 nickels and 27 pennies. I found a "LOVE" pin....aluminum junk, and that went into the park trash can. Dug a hobnailed lipstick tube, probably 40's or 50s....also in the park trash barrel. Found maybe a half a dozen pulltabs all day.
Oh well......there's a silver lining to this black cloud, however. Between what I got today and the last hunt or 2....there was 5.52 in spending money...so I bought a 51-D Franklin half dollar.
