Default 9-17-06 silver finally...

not coins though, sterling...

found lots of pull tab, and screw caps. one clad dime (my son found another on top of the ground), and this... too bad it's glass...

Sure beats the aluminum bracelet chain I found today.

Nice find. I go for long stretches w/o finding rings, so I always like digging those.

yeah, the "diamond" has a really good look to it. When I got it home and cleaned it up, I took a black light to it, along with my wifes ring for reference. Wifes ring glowed nicely. nothing from this one.... (should have known, because it was so clear :)

had to get the lupe out to verify the .925 stamp...

one of the holes I dug, when I pulled the plug up, a yellow golf ball popped out too :)

after doing a bit of research on flourescence of diamonds, and a couple of cleanings, I'm now on the fence on whether or not the stone is glass or not...

need to take it in to the jeweler....

a friend I work with has since found a merc, a silver wash. quarter, and a silver ring at the same park.....

Any jeweler should be-able to let you know if its real. They have a machine that they run current (electricity) through the stone. From what I understand (which isn't much) a diamond is a good conductor of electricity.??? I've had a few checked out myself that I found, bad news on every occasion all "fake".
