Default Another evening at the park

I did OK tonight again....unearthing 2 clad quarters, one which had a penny laying right on top of it about 3 inches down. Also found 6 clad dimes, 1 nickel, 6 memorial pennies, 3 wheats.....and 2 silver rosies, a 46 and a 60-D. Ihad the signal balance up again tonight, and the discrimination down.

With tonight's finds, I've now dug a whole roll of 50 (+1) silver dimes from the park...and 13 silver quarters, all since july. I keep thinking "there can't be any more"....and I go back and find a couple more. Not that I'm complaining mind you, but I keep expecting it to be "over".

Wyatt

I'll keep swingin' there for the foreseeable future.....until I find another good place....or I show up and find a "fat lady" singing. The old school and the park have been like a couple "rich uncles" for me. I'm so glad that these places are just a half a mile down the hill.

Wow Wyatt - like I said in my post to Boobie you guys in PA must love throwing your money around. Went out tonight and all I found was a rusty nail, a piece of wire and a pop top - no coins My time to detect is getting shorter and shorter. By the time I get home from work and eat dinner there is only about an hour of sun light left. Can't wait for the weekends. JoAnne

Sounds like you need a place where kids ran rampant. The reason this park is so loaded with coins......is because it's got the only community swimming pool for miles. There has been playground equipment there for 50 plus years. It still gets pretty crowded in the summer. There were times when I know there were 75 cars there....and the park is but 5 acres.

Luck or skill......makes no difference to me. I think it's some of each.

WTG Wyatt....it's amazing your still pulling silver out of there being how hard it was hunted!?!? We met a sheriff down there at the park and he hunts that park also....

I've never seen that guy down there....ever....but that could explain why the magistrate, who lived next door last year (before the county took over the park) would run anybody off who he would see (namely me). He was probably allowing this guy to detect there while denying others.

I don't think this place had been hunted hard before I got there. The silver that's left is not the easy pickin's. It's all deeper stuff now. I got the easy pickin's cleaned up....I think.

I'm surprised that the park has not given up a single half dollar. I'll keep swingin'...and if all I find is dimes...that's Ok too.
