Default Little park finally gives up the big one...silver coin No 69

I just returned from another of my 90 minute park hunts.....and for 89 minutes of that I was thinking...man. this place is barren. I had mustered only 27 cents in clad when I decided to go over to that one corner of the park that stays wet all the time and try and squeak just one more silver dime from that area. There had to be just one more....

I didn't find a silver dime tonight though.....but a 1941 Walker at every bit of 9-10 inches deep is even sweeter. The detector was suggesting a silver quarter....but every half a dozen or so sweeps it's read "half dollar". I think it was right at the edge of the detector's capability. The depth reading....said 6 inches. When I didn't find a coin at 6 inches....I decided to keep digging anyway, remembering the 43 quarter that I'd recovered there was a good bit deeper than the machine indicated. I just about had a little heart attack when this honey hopped out of the last handful of dirt I pulled from the hole. It has a very slight rim bruise.....but I'll take it anyway.

I had been over this part of the park literally 20 times at the very least....and missed this one every time.....until this afternoon.

I have already washed the dirt from it....now it goes into my new piggy bank, which is my new avatar.

My congratulations on everybody's great digs.....and continued luck to all.

Remember....just because you've hit an area 20 times, doesn't mean you haven't missed something. It might even be something big.

note: I cut and pasted the reverse image into the jpeg. If you look closely, you'll notice that the wood grain in the table top doesn't line up. It makes it look like I found 2....but I just found the one.

Wyatt

That is the way to do it Wyatt.
A lot of people would have given up and just figured it was a big piece of junk.
Being the professional you are just paid off big time.
