I got a call from my mom....and she needed the blade changed on her bandsaw....which she normally does herself, but the bearing carrier had become galded and I needed to go and take a look at it for her. I was able to repair the saw pretty quickly.
I ventured across the street to the old drive in theatre....which, while closed for the season...is still in operation. I was there about an hour and found the coins shown in the playground area....which now has no swings and such. Its just a grassy area in front of the screen. I hit that place 13 years ago....and pretty hard too...so the silver quarter was a real surprise.....especially since it was such an obvious target. I'm betting I dug that signal before and gave up the chase too soon. The depth on the meter...said 4 inches....but it was at closer to 6 inches.
I guess if I'm not counting war nickels as silver coins....the next one will take me past the 10.00 face value goal I had set for myself. If I could manage it in the next 5 days.....I'll have reached 10 dollars face value in silver...in 3 months.
