Default My Civil War and Homesite finds for 2006

It is not over yet; I still have a little time to add to my 2006 finds. Hey Chuck Jones (Treasure Hut), the two buttons I found while we were hunting together at Waugh Point Blew Up while I was cleaning them. Actually the best one was dropped by my wife (grounds for divorce) while she was looking at it and broke into a thousand pieces. Good thing it was just a plain Eagle.

I am still getting good stuff out of the home site on my property and have a location I need to check out close to the surrender grounds in Appomattox. The landowner told me about some things he found while plowing his fields and gave me the key to his property to detect anytime I want.

And of course I have to add a picture of Miss Skylar. She is my daughter, she will be three in January and is the apple of my eye.

Default Chuck, I am so glad you and Laurel visited Washington.

I used to take weekdays off and go there to visit; Washington is not that far from me. I would go to Verona and take the tram into Washington.

I also liked to go to the Monticello and visit; Charlottesville is about an hour from me and of course the Appomattox surrender grounds are ten minutes from my house.

Next time you are in the area we need to spend some time together in my neck of the woods. You will be amazed at the history that is still standing (have to hike to it). There are still actual houses that are still intact that played major roles during the Civil War.

We are family now (that is the rule if we hunt together) you and Laurel are welcome to my home anytime. Of course Miss Skylar will be your best friend if you watch Dora with her.
