Default This weekend finds

Had planned a trip yesterday with a friend, but she was feeling a little under the weather, so I took out on my own...decided to hit a new place ( one of the old schools in a near by town) I have been wanting to try this area for awhile, but was a little apprehensive on going alone...Took out anyway and checked the area out...Looked to be an ok place to get out on my own....Nothing old, just clad clad and more clad... ....I decided to go back to one of the schools I have hunted before and they are reconstructing and removing buildings and sidewalks... I did manage an old cafateria token...thinking somewheres from the 50's to 60's token...This is when this school was built...I sure don't remember using tokens when I was in school. Got a 1944d wheat...44d's seem to be common for me in my hunting area! Also got a piece that looks like it came from a military uniform, maybe ROTC... found it where a sidewalk was removed...Any help on this item would be appreciated!!! Then someone lost there emblem off of their Kswiss shoes...I got excited when I saw the shield...but was told this was foot wear!!! LOL!!! Today I hit a park and found another ring...Pic makes it look alot better than what it really looks like...Has (ster) marking...Had some gold on the outer layer, which has flaked off...Was fun finding it anyway...Would have been nice if it had been gold!!! Found some other things and all in all had a great weekend!!!
Boobie I was reading one of your posts and I agree with you!!! Today was a beautiful day out!!! All the trees are turning colors...The red is very bright and I just love this time of the year!!! We had a big temp change the last 2 days!!! I was wearing gloves today!!! Last week we were having temps in the 80's
Well happy hunting to all!!!

Pat

Nice to hear you had a good day Pat ! But your not likly to find 1800's coins at a school built in the 60's ! I found a draped bust large cent yesterday. Had to wear gloves? 80's ! i had on longjohns, jeans, hipboots, hat, and so many shirts and jackets i was like the little kid on the movie christmas story ! If i had fallen down i would have looked like a turtle flipped over on his back ! Good luck and i hope your friend is fealing better soon ! HH !

Boobie you will have to get ya a detector like mine!!! It has found paper money several times!!! Got to keep those eyes pealed in all directions while you are listening to those tones...You just never know what you will find out detecting!!! Did find a 20, a 5, and couple of one's on different trips in different locations. Just waiting for that 100 dollar bill!!! Some places I have visited they did alot of To be losing that cash!!! I bet they were like .....

Rip the first school I visited was built in the 1800's....I guess you just snuck down here and got all those 1800 coins I am looking for!!!

Seriously...When I got there the school was obandoned...purchased by some apartment complex...I guess they are going to tear it down and build new apartments... Most of the buildings were fenced and said keep out...on one side of the street was the gym...(no fence) I took out all around this area...everything I was finding was just 2 to 4 inches Clad clad clad pulltabs and trash...Never got a signal any deeper...I was just really dissapointed!!! But this area has probably been hit many many times from detectorists throughout the years...Not to mention the power lines were reaking havick on my detector!!! What a pain!!!!!

Most of the old areas around here are covered in concrete or asphalt!!!
But I am going to get in the right area one of these days!!!

Thanks for the comments on the finds and there's gold in them there hills!!! I am in search of!!! lol!!! Now if I can just find a nice nugget ring with a few sparkles!!!

HH
Pat
