Default Nice IH

The number tags resemble the pool tags we used to use when I was a kid in West Virginia to gain access to the local pool. My family would buy a season pass and we would take a safety pin and attach the tag to our bathing suits.

I did a Google search on OLD McBRAVER
and nothing came up.

Hey Skinnybones...

Those tags, when used in this area, were for IDing coal miners. In the office they had a board....with these numbered tags. Each number would have 2 tags. When you went in the mine, you carried one and left one on the board.

In the event of an accident, they would know exactly who was in the mine, and be able to ID the miner if found deceased with the tag on his person if other means of ID were not possible.

That doesn't mean they weren't from a local pool or something, but that's their most common use in this area....right in the heart of coal country.
