18k Ring, Crown Setting, Black Star Sapphire.
I originally thought I had found an 18k ring with a queen’s crown setting and with what I thought was a tiger-eye stone. It turned out to be a Black Star Sapphire. Thanks to a person that goes by the screen name “The Gemologist” over on another forum for identifying the stone. So what I originally thought was a tiger eye turns out to no be so. I think it might be from the early 60’s late 50’s and it might be of Vietnamese or Philippine in origin. It was pushed up in a dozer or excavator scrape at an old playground. As always, HH
