Default 1941 Mercury, 1948 Roosevelt, 4 Wheats

This is the first mercury dime that I’ve ever detected and my second Roosevelt dime. I’ve only found 4 silver coins since I started this hobby 2 ½ years ago, but I’ve found over 50 pieces of gold so I won’t cry.

I found these yesterday, the oldest wheat is 1919, the mercury dime is a 1941 and the Roosevelt dime is 1948. This area is hard on heavy metals. I found the 18k gold black star sapphire ring I same general area, the ring might be older that I estimated. This soil is harder on silver as the Roosevelt dime seems to be growing crystals or noduals. So hard in fact, that I had to use a little toothpaste on a cottonball to finish up the 18k ring.

The older coin finds came from short scrapes in the area that I think whrer made to look for copper water pipe for recycleing.

I was going for the gold but it was not to be had. But I'm happy.

Congratulations on your first mercury dime. You went home with more than you started with. That is what counts.
Are you saying you found 50 gold nuggets or 50 gold coins?
Whichever one that is, You must be doing something right.

Here's a pic of what I've found. After taking that picture I found a couple more.

**** ant. If you are a little digger what am I? I have just found some pennies and quarters no good stuff yet. I hope this changes tomorrow. I do not get much time for this because I work a lot and spend most of my time at the gym working out but will make more time for this now especially that my boys are now 6 and 4. keep it up "little digger"
