Default way downtown..foolin' around...part 2

Here are some pictures of today's digs. The gas valve and Coal Mine Token were unearthed at the old school. The last token I found there said "good for one exploder"....and was good for 50 bucks.

The Indian head and 9 wheaties are the ones I dug yesterday. 9 wheaties in one hole was interesting. I was actually hoping for some silver to come out of that hole...nope...just copper.

The other picture is of today's total take. There's 5 clad quarters, 3 clad dimes, 9 memorial pennies, and 6 wheats...1916, 1942 x 3, 1944, and 1937.

Silver Coins are 1964 roosevelt dime that I dug in the churchyard, a 1947 Washington Quarter, and 1944 Mercury dime, which both came from the small vacant lot I hunted last. I did OK....but this represents about 7 hours of hunting between friday morning, and today's 5 1/2 hours. My hands hurt....but I got to scratch my "silver itch" today...and the pain will pass

Weather was great today.....hit 75 degrees here in town.

Wyatt

Thanks Ken....

I'm not ususally one to bring home relics....but the gaslight valve was so ornate...I had to make an exception.

Big game......you mean like a Moose?....Oh, Steelers......I forgot. That's why they invented the VCR. Just stay away from all media and don't take calls until after you watch the recorded game. It won't change the outcome....I promise. I once watched a game I recorded 3 times hoping we'd win eventually....but the score was the same each time I watched it.

Good thing they didn't have to register a notch in the loss column for each time....
