Barber dime at Way's Garden

Hey, guys, since today was my last day of vacation until I go back to class, I decided to hit the small park in town: Way's Garden. Before I left, I asked Zoy, "Do you want to go?" His response, "I don't think I'm in the mood for some garbage and Memorial pennies." So, off I went with a positive attitude that I would find something decent and "rub it in his face."

Once I got in the park, I decided to focus on an area that has produced many Indian Heads in the past. I was getting the usual square nails at 4-5" deep, but I still did not give up. After about 30 minutes of swinging, my DD coil went over a decent sounding signal. I analyzed the signal at different angles and it continued to interest me. The target pinpointed at 5.5", so it was worth the try. After I was down to about 6", I swept my coil over the dug-out dirt. That was when my meter hit on a perfect "Dime." I used my Vibraprobe in the dirt and that was when I saw the silver coin. It turned out to be a 1912 Barber dime in XF condition. I was totally thrilled; I had hit this area so many times with my 9.5" stock coil, but my DD easily got it. This coil continues to amaze me!
