First Times a Charm
Sorry, no pics yet, but I bought a DFX several weeks ago and only had time to use it in my yard and upstate NY (yard). This weekend I got to take it to the Jersey Shore and give it, its first run.
What I found; - a 14K gold ring with a diamond - 4 quarters - 7 dimes - 1 nickel - 5 pennies - pair of sunglasses - and a partridge in a pear tree.

I'm really liking this DFX. Now that I know what all the options mean. I'm still green when it comes to experience, but I know what to do now if I come across highly mineralized ground, saltwater or just to tweak it to get better performance.
As for the ring, guess I was in the right place at the right time. A little luck, but I guess thats what it takes sometimes.

I tried reading the writing on the inside of the ring and with a magnifying glass and a lot of squinting, I saw that it read.....CID 14K. What does the 'CID' mean?
