Default Barber and a bullet in the woods

The foot of snow melted and it was 50 degrees out today so I did a three hour hunt in the woods.
It was slim pickins but I did find a 1905 Barber dime, a few clad, and a bullet.
It was sure good to get out hunting again. It is sure hard to do the dance in the woods.
I almost tripped over a log. P.S. Anybody know if the bullet is old?

Nice job for a short hunt. If you post it on the civil war forum you should find out about your bullet. There are experts on there.

The 2 cases you have are .22 rimfire. In my oppenion, the bullet is very old. They don't use that type connelure (or grove) in the bullet anymore. If you knew the size or caliber of the bullet, it could tell you alot. Also, is it a solid lead bullet? Most bullets today are solid copper, or copper jacketed. I don't think they make that design of bullet anymore either, but I could be wrong about that. O heck, I could be wrong about all this, but I don't think so. If you could thak it to a guns, and ammo dealer that sells reloading equipment, they could probably tell you what it is, and how old it is.
