Default found in 4 feet of water

how can u tell if this is real or glass stone the ring is 10k and has a strange symbol beside it. Looks to be very old im thinkin the early 1920's any help would be appreciated.

Nice ring ! This may be the one Boobie mentioned Online Encyclopedia of Silver Marks, Hallmarks & Maker's Marks This is for silver not sure if it covers gold though.

Default Nice find

Don't know if this will help, it's not 100%. Loupe the stone under 10x mag- if you see inclusions (usually carbon deposits)- kinda look like black spots. If you see bubbles in it is prob glass.

no black carbon marks all clear but the face of the stone where the edges are, are a bit rounded but could that be because it was in water so long???
