Default 50 coin day: Druggies take to the field!

From the land of the Bluenose.....Monday was a super day where one could almost wear shorts and a tank top. Thought I'd take advantage of this before old man winter creeps up and bites me on the butt. Had limited time and was actually quite excited as that evening I was to report to my new shift commander for regular duties. With this in mind I hit the ball field behind the Super Store where I had umpired many a game. Um! Was still busy this time of year as there were cars in the parking lot and folks coming and a going from all directions as you can see by looking at this photo of the field.

Someone suddenly opened the fridge door and the light came on as I saw a group of young men in the woods. You know the type! The ones with the hats on backwards and their pants dragging in the dirt. Of course once I cranked up Land Baby and tuned in my Garrett ear it wasn't long before I found further evidence of what was taking place by the multitude of little baggies scattered all around the fence line outside the field. Be dammed and pickled if I was going to let these "gentlemen of leisure and free enterprise ruin my dig.
Of course they probably thought I was mentally challenged with my frog boots, lobster gloves and dirty old Garrett hat on the right way not too mention that most of the field was a quagmire. Did direct one question at me, " Yo homey watzup?" Thought about this and put the phrase through my "universal translator" and replied that I was looking for a ring that I knew was lost here. After this they left me alone and went back to their office in the woods to conduct business. Field was indeed very wet but this gave me extra depth and in an hour 25 had my quota. Did hit a first on this field but didn't find the ring Think this find from deep center field says it all about was was going on around me although I felt safe.
