Default First Standing Liberty Quarter

Did some research and found an old homesite and store in a local park. After finding a few wheaties and a bunch of pull tabs i found my first SLQ! It was only like 2 inches deep. I only stayed for about an hour cause the rain was really comming down. Can't wait to go back and hit that spot up somemore!
Now if i can only break the 1900 barrier i will be happy. lol
Also found a makeup Compact thing from a company called Princess Pat. Looks like it is made out of copper or something.

Congrats Wyman and isn't really cool when you see something like that pop out of the ground! In fact I found my first SLQ just a few weeks ago in a roadside rest area about 3 miles north of my house. Now who would have ever figured on that! It was only 3 inches deep. Ok I hope you find some more soon Wyman and God Bless ya.

Thank you both! Yeah it is awesome to see silver come out of the ground Especially when it's a coin no longer minted.

Boobie, Hopefully we will find tons of good stuff when ever we finally get a chance to meet up and go out!

Thank you Indy!

I just noticed something........ My SLQ is suppossed to have a reeded edge, but this one has a smooth edge Like a nickel. Is it common for the reeds to wear down? Or could i have a conterfit or maybe an error coin?????
I doubt it is conterfit. It is definately silver and is exactly the same size as a silver washington quarter. But it is a tiny bit thinner than a washington.
