Default First Ring

Ladies and gents, the ballfield around the block just gave up my first ring... and about a minute of digging later, the stone that went with it:

These are the pics before cleaning and after my expert metal bending/gemsetting skills were put to the test (hehe yeah right... you can see the toothmarks from my needlenose in the mother of pearl inlay).

The ring says "Avon 925" so I guess it's .925 silver - which would also make it my first silver find. Looks like a blue topaz to me. Nice looking stone.

Ground's frozen. I may have to wait until it thaws...

Default Ok......

.....now I'm HAPPY! You gave up the badge, for a Topaz and Silver ring!!!! WTG my friend......now you're an ACE in the true sense of the word!!!

It also os a good lesson for everyone, that "checking the hole" after recovering a target, to make sure it's empty is a VERY GOOD idea!

Way to go, Shak. With that ring being from Avon, you might do a search to see when it was marketed.

Congrats; still looking for my first one of any value, but no matter what, finding a ring is cool

I like it. It's great that you found the stone too!
