Default I found that pot of gold!!!

After hearing about a country gentleman from my Grandpa when I was a kid, I decided I would try to find where he lived. I found where the house was by two huge mulberry trees which were still standing. The house and all the outbuilding were long gone and grown over with 12 to 14 inch trees.
Found the house blocks and then the foundation blocks of the smoke house. Now I was set!!! I made my way to the inside of the smoke house when I hit on a strong signal. and I mean strong. I probed with my knife and hit nothing. The signal was still there so I went deeper. All I could think of was a cache of gold and silver buried in the smokehouse. I dug some more dirt and probed with my knife again. I hit something solid and my heart really started pumping. I felt around and found that the object was round, and solid, about 12" deep. I carefully removed the dirt, exposing the cast iron lid on top or the pot of loot. Almost fainted..Finally I lifted the pot lid and there it was!!!
Nothing!!The pot itself was gone. Sure was a good dutch oven lid though.. And thats a fact..
