Default Hello SATB.....

.....how would you like to do all of us, whose eyes aren't what they used to be, a very big favor, and make your uploaded photos a little larger? I'm having a hard time seeing them clearly.

It's easy to do, and here's how:

Go to IRFANVIEW.COM, and download the FREE program called Irfanview. It's best to use Irfanview on your original photos that haven't been down sized yet.

Once you have it downloaded, and the Icon on your desk top, double click on it to open. Then upload the photo you want by clicking on the Open command in the File Menu. Once open, you can crop it if you wish (by simply drawing a box around the area of the photo you wish to keep with your left mouse button depressed and held down, then under the Edit Menu, clicking on Crop Selection).

Once cropped, you can then resize the photo by choosing Resize/Resample under the Image Menu, to 800x600 pixels (great size for this application). Once resized, then click the Save As command under the File Menu.

When you do, a second Save Compression Window will open, and you'll see a slide bar at the top of that window. Just set that slide bar at 80%, and then select Save. When you do, your photo will be compressed to something under 200k, and will upload to TQ or anywhere else, very easily.

When you upload your photos to TQ, and then someone clicks on the image to view, it will open to the 800x600 size, and then I can throw away my !

Thanks for reading, give it a try.....you'll like it!

Default Yes.....

.....however, had you used the IRFANVIEW program, this is what you would have been able to upload to Treasure Quest, with out one having to go outside of the Forum to view the photograph.

Thank You For Your Post!
