Default Went to a park on Saturday

I don't have photos, but y'all know what quarters and dimes look like, huh? I found about $1.50 in change and a little flower charm from the playground sand and vollyball court. It was my first true park hunt. I'm so sore, now. Had a GREAT time!! I'll definitely be back.

I was out there for about 3 1/2 hours before I realized I had to get back home. It's so easy to lose yourself.

I forgot to mention that this is the park that is on the site of a 1700 ranch that was a resting spot for travellers. It's also apparently a spot for people to go and have a beer or two or three or four. There is so much trash in the area I don't know what to do. Every time I get a signal, I don't even have to dig most of the time because there is a bottle cap in plain view.

The good old stuff is probably laying underneath all that trash, unfortunatley you'll have to get thru the trash to get the gold
Good Luck to you when you go back, and at least you are able to get out and swing that coil.

Hey that don't sound like too bad a place to hunt. I'd hit it again when you heal up from that last hunt.
I bought a sniper coil, a little 4 1/2" for my ACE 250 and I tell you, it makes a whole different detector out of it. It is great for trashy areas like you are hunting. Good luck.

Glad you got to swing the coil Pris. Clean out the trash to get to the deep good treasure.

Sounds like you have gotten off to a great start. That park sounds like it will be giving up some great finds.

I've been eyeing that sniper coil, but I gotta save up that clad before I can justify another splurge. I also really want a probe. Keep hearing a bunch about the Vibra Probe. Does the sniper really make that much of a difference?

Thumbs up Try it, you'll like it

I put the Sniper on about a year ago and only changed it once cuz I thought I should try the 9 1/2 " coil again. Put the Sniper back on and haven't wanted to change it since. Pin pointing is right on, there is no doubt. They tell me that the depth is a little less but I have not really seen that. Just seems to have made hunting so much easier for me. Best thing I did I think was to try this coil. I bought the coil before I bought my Vibra Probe and I think I would do it that way again. The coil is a lot cheaper too, so if you are like me and I didn't want to spend too much before I found out if I liked the hobby. But now a little over a year later since I started detecting I have paid for the 250 with clad I have found. Still a little short of paying for the coil, the digging tools, the pin pointer, the probe....... Well you get the picture.
In my opinion the coil is worth it, but you know about opinions
