Default Okie City Finds 2/28/07

Went back to the same lot where I had an excellent day yesterday and gave it another go around. I didn't really feel 100% after battling the tree root yesterday, Back flares up now and then. Found an old vintage ball, Couple of copper piece's, Brass piece of water nozzle, Another small copper piece of pipe, Really old ornate looking pin, Other what not's, Strange ornate piece of brass, Large brass ring look's like it came off of an old wagon or buggie, 1945, 46-S, and 52-D wheat's, Old 25 play money, And probally the best find of the day was a 1919 VF Mercury dime. Well every day is different and you just never know what's next. As for the copper and brass scrap, I save it and take it to the recycler when it get's to heavy, Probally found .78 cents in newer change, I just throw that in my glass water jug, As for the newer copper platted zinc crap pennies, I've been saving them for years. I think the federal reserve will give so much on the dollar for them, I'm not sure.

Nice day, congratulations. There should be more silver and neat stuff there. I hope you find it.

Default Okie City

I'm gonna give it a try, I still have the old ladies backyard to finish. Problem with the lot is the first day the soil/clay was moist, Once Oklahoma clay is exposed to the air, It turns like brick. Out in western Oklahoma and the panhandle they literally made sod houses out of the clay.

Nice interesting stuff. The old coins make it worthwhile for sure.
