finally got the courage to send in for grading
i found 1911d gold 2 1/2 dollar indianhead coin in a small leather coin purse along with 2 canadian dimes about 2 years ago.
the gold coin looked just like new to me. i was not comfortable just sending it off to get it graded, well, i finally did (to whom PAPPY) suggested. it came back graded ms-62 the pics are from when i found it,hope they show up , not to good at pic. posting. i try and dig most everything. found a $5.00 gold old indianhead in an old tobbacco tin awhile back. my md said buzz buzz click which means steel or tin but i dug it anyway and found the coin in it. i just can't bring myself to pass on any kind of hit, ya never know what you may be missing[IMG]file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/george/Desktop/back.gif[/IMG]

how wonderful for you, great find, I know what you mean about not being able to pass up anything. I too have been totally surprised when I think that it is a pull tab.
