Default Sanborn Maps

Found this on another web-site, And had to share it. Hope it leads everyone accross the country to some good spots. Digital Sanborn Maps -- Splash Page Then as a user name - residence, Then Pass-Word- welcome
So everyone can check the neck of their own woods.

Hi coinhead, I could not find anywhere to get a user name and password. How do you go about signing up for that? Thanks and best of luck, Richard

I also can't get to the maps it seems you have to register a username and password but I can't find where you do that either. I'm sure it's a helpful site if you can let us know how you get to it. Thanks

When you click on the "Browse Maps" button, you need to enter the ID and Password.

Coinhead gives you the id: residence

and the password: welcome

put those in, click "Submit Password" and you are in!

I could not get in either and I did what you said with the user name and pass word. Think maybe someone changed the information.

Great resource!!! Thanks for sharing that. I was able to download a few sheets. I'm going to try to overlay them in GoogleEarth next.

Thanks again!

Thank you Steve, It was very clearly written after you explained it and I reread it. (Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees) Good luck, Richard

Default Maps

I had no trouble pulling up the maps but could not access them on the proxy server. I tried to save the image to the desktop and did but it was very small. I next tried to magnify the image but it pixalated before I could see the image. I will try again. OH, I did use the ID and Password that you provided and they worked.
