Default First silver of 2007 and more

Well, I heard where an old school in a near by town used to be. It is a park now. I thought I couldn't lose. Did my research, got permission, and went huntin today. I got there and right away some one pulled over, got out and walked up to me. I thought I was about to hear about how digging up the park was a terrible thing. Fisrt thing he said was, your looking in the wrong place, the school was about 100 feet over there. I took his advice walked over to where he pointed and the third hole I dug out pops a 1912 D Barber Dime. I said, this is going to be a good day. I found 3 wheaties, several clad coins, about 5000 pop tops, a game token, a cool headache medicine bottle, and on my way back to the truck about 10 steps from my door I hit a quarter tone. Dug and out comes a 1942 D Washington quarter. I had a great day.

Wow, you hit it big. Good to hear that the silver is coming out of the ground. I bet you will be finding a lot more when you have cleaned out the pull tabs. WTG...

Default Looks like a great day in the park.

Really great finds. Sure is nice when you can get some advice from others that are familiar with the area.

Congratz Rob! That was a fine day of hunting ... two silvers and one being a Barber dime (that's a rare find for me ~ only found one in 2 1/2 years of hunting) ... Great Job!

Thanks guys, hope to get to go again soon. Maybe I'll take my 2 year old and let him dig some pull tabs for me. HA HA. Got to be plenty more coins where those came from.
