Yea those zinc pennies I have tried to clean them up but the bank won't take them. The bank tells me that the Federal reserve calls this mutilated money! I have argued this before I've told the gal behind the counter " You know it's not my fualt somebody drops a penny on the ground it's in the ground more then a week it starts to corrode because the metal you guy's made it out of is crap". hope you have better luck then I have had. Anymore I hate doing it, but I just pitch 'em in the trash |
