5 Mar- 6 Mar Hunts in SW Louisiana

2 days of hunting. What was found? I had hunted some of my older sights. One was a camp ground by an old river ferry crossing. 1 old muskekball, several new rifle hulls. The next day went back to town to hunt old yards where damaged houses from hurricane Rita have been removed.
Total count;
1- 1950 half (with hole drilled)
4 wheats 42, 45 (x2), 48.
1 dime
6 quarters, dates from 66 to 02.
My wife has the camera, I'll try and gets some pictures soon.
Oh, heres another little thing I will have to hunt for now. My son just got his class ring yesterday. He lost it last night while chunking trash (what he gets for this) out the window. Came right off his finger. He had it for a grand total of 3hrs and 35 minutes. So if you are around SW La. and see a guy on the side of the road swing his detector with a frustrated look. That would be me.

Searched for 3 hours on the side of the road. No luck. I never figured there would be so much trash on the side of the road. Made my detector useless. My son is going to get a bunch of his friends together to keep looking. Maybe they will get lucky.

Did get time to hunt an old ball field. Found one 1936 buffalo nickel.
I gave it to the property owners wife. She was amazed that I could find a coin in the ground. So, I showed her how my detector worked. She loved it. I got a feeling she will be out hunting as soon as she can get her hand on a detector.

Hehe yeah I figured those roadsides would be trash unlimited...Cant wait to get me one of those "sniper" coils...Congrats on your finds!
