Default Returned to previously hunted yard..(Part 2)

So.. thought I'd give another shot today.. and wouldn't you know it.. more coins. I pulled a Standing Liberty (no date) between two ferrous signals. I was surprised it was a quarter by the sound.. was expecting a dime.

Total keepers for the day:

???? Standing Liberty Quarter
1906 Indian Head (same year as yesterday)
1940 S Wheat
1945 S Wheat
1945 S Wheat

Thanks for looking!

Real nice coins you found. Sounds like you have found a great place to MD.

I learned some great lessons in this yard.

I'm hoping for some more silver out of there. With these Indians.. seems like a there could be a Barber or two hiding there.

That's good. How about depth on average?

All of those coins weren't too deep. Approximate 3 - 6" in this yard. That's pretty standard for my town. 5-5.5" is where Indians are normally found here. I haven't got a chance to notice any great depth improvements... but like I said depth isn't a big issue here.

What I'm really liking is the ability to pick these targets out of dirty areas. That quarter was real close to two ferrous targets and I was able to massage the signal so it got steady enough for me to pinpoint.

I think I could have done a lot better with my XLT if I adopted All Metal and tone ID. I know that quarter would have been nulled out for sure.

I went from the XLT to the EX II also. I guess what the difference was for me is how much better the Minelab handles my ground conditions here in PA.

The coin program I have set up is neat. I can place a coin between two nails and even place a nail directly on top of the coin and all I hear is the coin tone. You can do so much with this detector.

Nice, So you have specific blocks notched out on the grid? I haven't even started with programming and 'learning' yet.

Do you toggle between program(s) and IM/All Metal, etc while you hunt?

Sounds extremely cool!
