Default My first time

I FINALLY got my metal detector in the mail yesterday. It was almost dark, but there I was out in the yard with my son. I really didn't know what I was doing so the practice was good. There is a very old road that goes through part of our back yard and my husband has found an old brass compass and a ring back there before so that's where I plan to look this weekend. Anyway, last night I found: piece of lead pipe, large screw, rifle shell, piece of aluminum, bottle top, another piece of aluminum. Then I got a signal and dug nearly to China and couldn't find whatever it was. It was just too dark. Hubby laughed at me for being out in the dark digging in the back yard.........................but it was fun.

Talking You poor thing

I am feeling a little sorry for you Donna, you are about to become addicted to a great hobby. Before you know it you will be giving up TV and sitting on the couch just to be out mding. From there it will just get worse.
Welcome to TQ and we will be waiting to hear about some great finds with that new detector. By the way, what kind of detector did you get? Happy hunting.
