Hello everyone, I have been an avid Christian metal detectorist for the last 20 years. I have a passion for hunting Civil War skirmish sites and old home places. I tend to find most of the places I hunt along rivers as rivers played a major role in travel during the 19th century. I have been working a trading post started in 1796 by Chouteau and have recovered many coins from the 1770's-1830's. I am interested in finding someone in my area that has the...
I am retired. I like playing golf and hunting treasure with my metal detector. I like to hunt schools, parks, campgrounds, fairgrounds and any place where many people gather over time.

New to the Hunt. Looking for any advise and pointers from the pros.
I live in Liberty Mo. and would like to network with other Treasure Hunters in my hometown or Clay County in general. I bought some detectors for my boys as they spend far too much time indoors and I wanted them to have some innocent fun outdoors and to enjoy history and nature as I did growing up.
I am new as of 2010 to hunting. Purchased a Fisher F4 just the end of last year. I hoped the weather would be good to use it, but the deep freeze cold set in. In the meantime I have been researching a local small historical town for places to hunt. While the town is only a pop 950 it has a lot of interesting history to uncover. My other hobby is riding a Harley on long and short trips. Usually scoping out places of interest. Getting cabin fever waiting for warm weather to show up. Mike
New to the hobby. Ride a HD. Use Garmin GPS's. Always looking to chat with other hunters. Mike
