About one month later a lot of reading, join a club, asked a lot of question and defiantly learned a lot.
Reading Reading and more reading Finished The CTX3030 Beach and Water Hunter's Guide by Gary T Drayton. Very Helpful and got some idea's. Learning when to dig and not definitely getting better at that.
Now its time to raise my sensitivity and slightly kick up my discrimination. At first I thought I went a little over board with this purchase but now I'm realizing what an advantage i have using this device. Still Love my Excalibur that's another great purchase. What a journey its been in such a little time.

Welcome from California . It's like anything associated with the outdoors , "you have to go to know ". Every chance you get go and swing that coil , you will only get better at what it's telling you . Good luck and just keep at it , and we love pic's and we all find trash .

Trash...What can we say about it.... At first look my detecter is working and you got to admit its was fun to see how deep it can go... And now its about tweaking my tones with a little more discrimination and sensitivity.
Three places in mine this weekend 1) 202 yr ago in South Hampton a ghost ship lost it crew at sea the boat turns out to have silver and gold coins aboard supposedly washed up along the beach.
2) The Manor in West Bayshore the park across the road where President George Washington stayed. 3) Ask permission to search this Big old empty farm field is Sound beach. I can only hope the weather will be nice....

In Shirley NY. I've been searching a local beach nearby and just having fun with it. Unfortunately, I have n't dug up nothing more than a penny, 2 dimes, and 2 sinkers. I'm new at this less than a month into this hobby. I only get to go on the weekends if weather permits. Eager to learn I've Learned a lot about my metal detector and searching out events that took place a very lone time ago. I can only tell you nobody knows what's under any ground unless you look. It's a good day when i get to swing even if i come up empty. I'm enjoying the research in finding new sites and the people i've met. This has been a lot more than just searching a beach. I can tell you this my next investment will be a wetsuit and spending a lot of time on the beaches and in shallow water. You know as well as me you won't find anything sitting home so get out there and have fun.

So true. It is always nice to recover something, but there are days the treasure of the hunt is being out in the fresh air and sunshine and enjoying
what ever else Mother Nature provides for you that day.

The book, " The CTX3030 Beach and Water Hunter's Guide" by Gary T Drayton is definitely a good book. Lots of good beach learning.

May your upcoming hunts provide great recoveries.

Thank you very much. Today was the first day my son couldn't make it and it was n't the same.
Fresh air and sunshine and enjoying
whatever else Mother Nature provides for you that day. The Absolute truth! Even if the day brings nothing more than a crushed can, a ring tab and a tiny bolt....
