Anyone here into geocaching?
I came across this website tonight and it looks very interesting.

What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.

It seems this is a "sport" for fun, sorta like a scavenger hunt. I checked my zipcode and found there are a few geocaches located within 5 miles from where I live.
I belong to this website... Geocaching is a blast anyone who MD's would love it and vice virsa... we need to promote both hobbies/sports... maybe we could bury some metal geocaches????:D
Geocaching is a blast! I use to crew chief for a hot air balloon team. Being we would fly in the early am, the in the late afternoon while at events we would geocache during the day. Geocaching we found worked out to be a great tool for training pilots how to use their gps's. Was amazing to find how many balloon pilots struggled with their gps.

Gregory that's great a new hunting partner, what is he using for detector wish you both great hunting Chick
With geocaching the”detector” originally was a handheld GPS unit. Some still use them but a lot of people have ditched them and use their cell phone’s gps now. :)
